Pearl of Old Town Raahe

A warm welcome to Pearl of Old Town Raahe!

This is a unique opportunity to secure a new house by the sea in the middle of the old Raahe town.

The Pearl of Old Town Raahe consists of four architecturally diverse detached houses with modern interiors. Residents will be well positioned to enjoy a peaceful terrace and courtyard area amidst a seaside coastal backdrop.

The handiwork of local distinguished Raahe architect, Mattiveikko Salo, the residential resort has successfully combined the building culture of a wooden city with the spaciousness and brightness of a seaside home. The courtyard is charming and finished with its own glazed terrace, while a common sitting area, shared yard, barbecue and planting boxes complete the outdoor surroundings.

The design of the building responds to the diverse needs of its occupants, allowing them the freedom to tinker, exercise, meditate or play in the safe and secure shared environment.

The building consists of one architecturally enhanced detached house with a modern light interior. All houses range from 126-133 m2. Houses A and B, located along Kauppakatu, will feature an art-deco style accommodation to complement the street view of the old wooden town. Houses C and D on the courtyard side are contemporary inside and out.

Select from 2- or 3-bedroom homes and enjoy kitchens, appliances and fixed cabinets from the superior German brand Noblessa.

City of Raahe

Welcome to Raahe, the city which is just the right size! Raahe is a 370-year-old coastal town on the northwest coast of the Gulf of Bothnia, about an hour’s drive from Oulu. Count Peter Brahe founded the city bearing his name in 1649, which is reminiscent of the city’s long and interesting history.

Raahe is an industrial city known to many for the steel plant SSAB (formerly Rautaruukki), which has been operating since 1960. Over time, the city has evolved with diverse industries, and there have been successful companies for several generations. In the near future, Raahe’s economy will become even more active, as Fennovoima’s nuclear power plant project has started less than 20 kilometers from the center of Raahe, an initiative that will continue to provide more long term employment opportunities for local residents.

In Raahe, everyday life is suitably relaxed without stress, as everything you need is close by! The services are easily accessible and it does not take unnecessary time to find a parking space. There are ample early childhood education services from both the public and private sectors, and families with children are also served by a comprehensive school network. For example, in the downtown area, close to the Pearl of Raahe, you will find the magnificent Central School (Keskuskoulu) in a renovated building respecting the traditions of the city. Health and wellbeing services are also widely available by both public and private service providers.

Culture, sports, and outdoor opportunities will keep you as busy as you wish to be. Right next to your home you can go swimming, boating, skiing, cycling or even stand up paddle boarding. Pikkulahti’s outdoor and recreational terrain can be found in the immediate vicinity of the city center, and the Finnish Raahe Theater attracts leading artists regularly. It may be a small town but there is plenty to do!

Everything here is close by. All the main services can be found a couple of blocks away and the magnificent seashore and Pikkulahti’s diverse outdoor area are just a stone’s throw away. Schools, kindergartens, shops and health services are all within walking distance.

The town is built on stories and history, and its magnificent old buildings will create a sense of tranquility in a thriving city.

To learn more, the company is located at Kauppakatu 4, 92100 Raahe. See the destination on the map.
